In the
Backgrounds database click
Add/Update Image to add a background to an area. Backgrounds can be jpeg or gif images. When a background is uploaded it will take the place of the color that is set for that area.
Size guidelines - Backgrounds can be any size. Smaller images are recommended for backgrounds that repeat. It is recommended to keep backgrounds within the size of the area that it is being used for (because larger backgrounds may cause slower page loads). See the
Size Guide for sizes of areas.
When an image is uploaded you can set the following:
Background Repeat - If set to
repeat the background image will repeat in rows across the entire area. If set to
no-repeat the background will appear once in the position set by Background Position. If set to
repeat-x, the background will repeat itself in a horizontal row starting at the background position. If set to
repeat-y the image will repeat in a vertical row starting at the background position.
Background Position - Use this to set the starting point of the background. If values are entered into the pixel boxes, it will overide the Background Position select box.
Background Attachment - The Entrance page and Outside Area can be set to fixed if you want the background not stay in place when the page is scrolled. If Set to scroll, it will move along with the rest of the page when scrolled.
After an image is uploaded you can also edit the above style by click the
Edit Styles button for the image.
