The Additional Files database can be used to upload files to be used on your website. For example a Flash file can be uploaded and displayed anywhere on your website. Or you can use it to upload video files, then create a link to the file using the Link Creator.
To upload a file, click Add New. Then click the Browse button to select a file on your computer, then click Add To Database. When the upload is complete, a page will display showing the link (the absolute path)to the file.
If you have uploaded a video file, copy the displayed link and open the Link Creator. Then paste the link into the 'Link or address' box. Type a name for the video and click 'Create Link'. Copy the displayed HTML code and paste it into any of the content databases (For example, paste it into one of the Additional Info databases.)
A Flash designer can upload a Flash movie and paste the link into the object code (used to embed the flash movie in a web page).
The path can also be displayed later by clicking View All or Searching for the file.
Be aware that certain types of files (programs or script files for example) can pose a security risk. Do not trust files from unknown sources.See
